The Tocto brothers see Finca Churupampa as more than just a coffee farm—it’s a mission-driven project aimed at uplifting their hometown of Chirinos. In addition to producing their own coffee, they help 215 nearby farmers with export and marketing services. They’ve also set up a local training center to teach better farming methods and help break the cycle of poverty in the area. Thanks to their leadership, the community has moved away from basic subsistence farming and now focuses on quality and sustainable agriculture.

Profits are reinvested into improving the farm—upgrading equipment, expanding facilities, and maintaining a strong focus on quality by cupping up to 4,000 coffee samples each year. They’re committed to organic practices, also growing fruits, vegetables, and raising chickens for the local market. A big part of their sustainability efforts is a soil management program that turns forest plants and fermentation leftovers into compost and fertilizer.

They’ve even created a freshwater pool and a soccer field on the farm, offering local youth a positive, hands-on way to connect with farming and eco-friendly practices.
