Workers at the Kibingo Washing Station in Kayanza, Burundi, carefully lay out washed coffee on raised beds to dry. The producers contributing to this lot typically own just 300 trees each, with farms sitting between 1,700–1,900 MASL. One unique aspect of this region is its exclusive cultivation of Red Bourbon, a variety known for its vibrant flavor profile.

All contributing producers are members of Greenco, a Burundi-based organization that manages 13 washing stations across the country, consistently producing high-quality coffees.

This is our fourth year working with Kibingo, and each harvest continues to impress. This year’s lot captures everything we love about African coffees: berry sweetness, floral and tea-like aromatics, and a clean finish.
