
La Cometa
Each year on November 1st Sacatepéquez hosts a festival of giant kites in honor of All Saints Day. After many months of construction, people from all over Sacate- péquez celebrate and honor friends and family who have passed away by flying enormous kites adorned with elaborate symbology. These Kites are called “La Cometa”.
This coffee is split 50/50 between two varietals: Red Bourbon and Red Caturra.
This Guatemalan coffee is sparkling. A small community lot from the high elevations of Huehuetenango. Each farmer processed their coffee individually. Because of the varied processing time this coffee has some fun fermenty notes.
